Simple Enterprise SMS Broadcasting Executive Summary

As a result of Covid19, BNS enhanced its SMS Text messaging gateway to allow simple broadcasts using a text file containing a list of mobile numbers.     Up to 500,000 (half a million) SMS messages can be sent to mobile numbers per broadcast.

Duplicate checking is built into the system to ensure that no mobile recipient receives the same message in a single day.    "This is one of many security and corporate governance controls we build into our technology", Laurence Buchanan CEO of BNS.    

Authorised Business Applications can now send a SMS broadcast message by attaching the list of mobile numbers (TXT file or CSV file) in 1 email as an attachment via internal email (eg: Exchange Server) to the SMS gateway server.  

Authorised end users use their existing Microsoft Outlook to send a SMS broadcast message by attaching the list of mobile numbers (TXT file or CSV file) in 1 email as an attachment via internal email (eg: Exchange Server) to the SMS gateway server.   

The email message body is used to construct the SMS message sent to all mobile recipients. 

Personalised SMS can be sent using simple merge tags in a CSV text file  or just a standard broadcast message to all recipients.  

A configurable maximum number of SMS recipients can be configured.
